Privacy Policy — Beyblader

This privacy policy describes how the Beyblader iOS app (“the App”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use it. Beyblader is an unofficial fan-made companion utility and is not affiliated with Takara Tomy, Hasbro, or any related entity.

1. Information We Collect

If the App offers sign-in, we collect:

Email address — used as your account identifier and for password reset.
Display name (optional) — shown on your profile inside the App.

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth (supabase.com). See Supabase’s privacy policy.

1.2 In-app content you create

The following is stored in our Supabase-hosted database, tied to your account:

Parts collection / loadouts
Launch RPM logs (date, RPM value, optional part loadout you tag it with)
Tournament notes and match results
App preferences

If you do not sign in, this data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted off-device.

1.3 Bluetooth data

The App uses Apple’s Core Bluetooth framework to connect to a Beyblade X Battle Pass launcher accessory and read launch RPM values broadcast by that accessory.

We only access Bluetooth when you actively initiate a connection.
We do not scan in the background.
Bluetooth identifiers and RPM readings are stored as described in §1.2 above and are not sent to any third party.

1.4 Diagnostic data

We do not currently collect crash reports or analytics. If this changes, this policy will be updated and you will be notified inside the App.

1.5 Information we do not collect

Location (no NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription requested)
Contacts, photos, microphone, camera
Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
Third-party tracking pixels

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above solely to:

Provide and operate the App’s features
Sync your data across devices if you sign in
Respond to support requests

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your data is processed by the following service providers on our behalf:

We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law.

4. Data Retention

Account data: kept until you delete your account.
Locally stored data (no sign-in): kept on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.

Account deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, either:

Use Profile → Settings → Delete Account inside the App, or
Email tobby168@gmail.com with the email address tied to your account. We will delete within 30 days and confirm by email.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Security

We rely on Supabase’s encryption-at-rest and TLS-in-transit. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your region (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct or delete that data
Object to or restrict processing
Data portability

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change, and material changes will be highlighted in the App.
